History

he London Tournament was started in 1993 by the now defunct London Wolves. The Croydon Pirates won the tournament for the first three years and then lost in the final to the Wolves in 1996 with a score of 10-9

The Wolves folded that same year so in 1997 the Pirates took over the organisation of the tournament and beat the London Warriors in the final with a score of 6-4.  In 1998 it was not possible to play at the Pirates home ground of Roundshaw and so the tournament was played at Enfield's home ground in north London, but the weather intervened and the torrential rain on the Sunday meant that play was halted and no eventual winners were crowned.1999 saw a bigger and better tournament with teams competing from Ireland and The Netherlands as well as the Great Britain national and under 21 sides. In last years 2000 tournament the Croydon Pirates and the London Warriors reached the final, but after only 2 innings played the game was abandoned due to rain and no winner was declared.
